- Device Token: For sending push notifications (briefing reminders, breaking news).
- Reading Activity: Which briefings you complete and articles you read, to track your streak and personalize content.
- App Usage: Basic analytics to understand how features are used and improve the app.

- Precise location data
- Contacts or address book
- Photos or files
- Browsing history outside the app
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Deliver personalized news briefings based on your selected topics
- Send push notifications (morning/evening briefings, breaking news, streak reminders)
- Track your reading streak and activity statistics
- Show election candidates and results for your constituency
- Improve the app based on usage patterns

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

- Service Providers: We use Supabase (database), Firebase (notifications), and Google Cloud (hosting) to operate the app. These providers process data on our behalf under strict agreements.

- Your data is stored securely on Supabase servers.
- We use encryption for data in transit (HTTPS) and at rest.
- Reading statistics and preferences are also stored locally on your device.

- Topics: You can change your selected topics anytime in the app.
- Account Deletion: Contact us at privacy@chito.app to request account deletion.
6. Children's Privacy
Chito is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
