who gets six months maternity leave now?

Recently, the government has passed a bill that grants six months of paid maternity leave to all working women, including those in both government and private sectors. This new policy aims to support maternal and newborn health by extending the leave period significantly. Alongside this, the bill also includes 42 days of paid paternity leave. So, now any woman working in Nepal, whether in the public or private sector, is entitled to six months of maternity leave with pay.
