On Chito, news summaries, video voices and the answers in Ask are prepared by AI. Prices, rates, dates and government notices come from the official source as published.

AI summaries

The "what happened" lines on a story, its timeline, the daily brief (सार) and the short introductions of people in the news are written by AI from the outlets' published reports and official sources. They can miss a detail or get one wrong; every story links to the original articles.

AI voice (AI आवाज)

The daily brief and how-to videos are read by a synthetic voice and are marked "AI आवाज". Spoken answers in the app use Microsoft Azure Speech, or ElevenLabs when Azure is not available; only the answer text is sent to them.

Ask (सोध्नुहोस्)

Answers are composed by Microsoft Azure OpenAI from Chito's own data and public sources, with the sources shown where there are any. They are information, not legal, medical, tax or investment advice: check with the official source before you act. On the web, a reader who is not signed in can ask 3 questions a day.

What AI does not do

  • It does not set or change prices, exchange rates, the NEPSE index or calendar dates.
  • It does not write government notices or results; those link to the office that published them.
  • It does not decide festival साइत: those go through a reviewed pipeline, never a raw web search.

What people check

Government service guides (documents, steps, fees) are checked by the Chito team against the official source, and each page shows when.
